Mallorca

Mountain trails, coastal bikes, and long finca lunches.

Four days on Mallorca using Palma as a base. A serious Tramuntana hike, a coastal cycle, one long market lunch, and quiet water on the last morning.

Day 1 — Arrive and swim

Afternoon

Check in to Palma, walk the cathedral

Culture

La Seu's gothic weight is worth 20 minutes. Circle back past the old Jewish Quarter.

Evening

Sunset swim at Cala Major

Rest

A 15-minute taxi from the old town. Floating in the Med at dusk resets any flight fatigue.

Day 2 — Tramuntana

Morning

Drive to Deià, hike to Sóller

Movement

The 10 km coastal path takes 3–4 hours. Mostly shaded, olive groves and sea views. Bring water.

Afternoon

Lunch at a Sóller finca

Food

Ca'n Boqueta or similar for long tables, local wine, and pa amb oli.

Evening

Early night in Palma

Rest

Skip the rooftop bars. Your legs earned sleep.

Day 3 — Coast and market

Morning

Cycle the Cap de Formentor road

Movement

40 km return with switchbacks and lighthouse views. Rent road bikes in Port de Pollença.

Afternoon

Sineu market and a late lunch

Food

Wednesday mornings only; if that's not your day, try the Inca market on Thursday. Sobrassada, local oranges, hard cheeses.

Evening

Tapas at Fonda Llabres

Food

A Palma institution. Go late (21:30), order the squid.

Day 4 — Water and depart

Morning

SUP at Portals Vells

Movement

An hour on the board in quiet coves. Rental shops at the marina.

Afternoon

Light lunch and the airport

Food

Grilled fish at a port-side taverna, then PMI.
