Intention Setting Journal
Morning intention-setting prompts to align daily actions with long-term goals.
An intention is different from a to-do. To-dos are tasks; intentions are qualities. 'Finish the report' is a to-do. 'Bring focus and care to my work today' is an intention. This journal practice helps you start each day with both. Every morning, take 10 minutes to answer: What is my intention for today? (One word or phrase — e.g., 'patience,' 'bold action,' 'deep listening.') What are my three most important tasks? What might get in the way, and how will I respond? The intention anchors you. When the day gets chaotic — and it will — you have a touchstone to return to. The tasks give you direction. The obstacle pre-planning gives you resilience. Together, they create a day that is both productive and aligned with who you want to be.
